Mashups

I used to wrap up every December with a megamix of the year’s top songs. The 2020 mix blew up on TikTok, which was a very fun surprise.

At the start of the COVID lockdown, some people made sourdough—I wrote a symphony. It’s no Beethoven’s 5th, but it was a blast to make. I wrangled 15 amazing musicians to record their parts remotely and edited it all together myself.

I’d always dreamed of making this percussion cover of Dvořák’s New World finale—I spent weeks planning, recording, and coordinating late-night sessions in the band room. This video is the result: a big, loud, joyful tribute to a piece I love.

Crosswords

Constructing crosswords is one of my favorite creative outlets, and a way to connect with a whole community of people who love words as much as I do.
